Interior Design Project in Stanmore - London

A modern take on a mid-century classic

Overview

While the bones of this apartment were fantastic with original flooring and a bright open space the apartment felt tired and lacked personality.

Using the age of the property and the couples existing tulip dining furniture as jumping off point a warm and textured mid-century style was used to enliven the space.

DESIGN APPROACH

A deep navy seagrass wall paper was used to add depth and the doors and wood work painted navy to match. A burnt orange velvet sofa added a punch of excitement and was complemented with built in shelving and new storage to add character and much needed practicality.

A wall of windows, covered with textured cotton sheer, wave curtains, maintained the natural light but added movement and lightness to the space.

TESTIMONIAL

We recently worked with Tom and we’re absolutely thrilled with the results.
He listened closely to our initial ideas and then elevated them into a cohesive, thoughtful design that exceeded our expectations. His eye for detail and ability to blend function with style made the entire process genuinely enjoyable.
